摘要
The article describes how the use of new technology has enabled the automotive engineer to improve the design of some car components, save energy, reduce weight, retain the necessary safety margins and improve productivity. New techniques in pressing, joining and automation are highlighted as examples of where advanced technology is leading the automotive industry.
