Viaduct Over the Fella River at Camporosso in Val Canale for the Carnia-Tarvisio Motorway.

The viaduct is located in the Pontebba-Camporosso stretch of the Udine-Carnia-Tarvisio motorway, and comprises two separate carriageways set side by side. The deck is a partially precast caisson girder with vertical ribbing and intermediate stiffening crossdiaphragms. In order to obtain a 12. 00 m wide carriageway, the section is filled out by precast, inclined entablatures and by a pour of the rest of the extrados slab on predalles. The solution makes ample use of precasting of the structural members. The deck bears on reinforced-concrete head-beams cantilevering from the pier bodies. Each pier consists of one circular-section column. The deck's peculiar shape and the construction procedures used to built it, demanded a deep study of the stress distribution over the caisson girder members.
