摘要：

Increased use of coal with a low content of sulfur in steam power plants has led the technology of electrostatic precipitators to developments which involve advanced application of power electronics. Various types of precipitators are described, their principles of functioning, dimensioning, and problems of resistivity of powders are discussed.
