This paper briefly presents results obtained from two different fixed bed reactors filled with a catalyst consisting of 0,5% (wt) ruthenium metal supported on gamma alumina. The aim was to establish reaction conditions for stable operation accompanied by high reaction rates and product spectra favoring liquid hydrocarbons. A summary of some important results obtained by other workers is also given.
