摘要
The modulus of elasticity and the microstructure of a commercial VT1-00 titanium with a submicrocrystalline (SMC) structure (grain size 100-150 nm) produced by large plastic deformation were studied as a function of annealing in a temperature range of 420 to 800°C. It was established that, as the structure of titanium is refined from a coarse-grained to an SMC state, the modulus of elasticity increases by 10%. Subsequent annealing at 420°C decreases the modulus of elasticity of SMC titanium by 36%; a further increase in the annealing temperature increases this parameter. The possible causes for the changing modulus of elasticity of SMC titanium are considered.
