Title investigation was carried out by a committee composed of representatives of leading, Austrian, Metallurgical research organizations that was using the notch-impact-bending-, and Pellim tests. Influence of the straightening of welds was noticeable by the increse of transition temperature of the welds. Assessment of the fracture behavior of the three, investigated welding materials led to widely differing values, pointing out the need for further, intensive research.
