The three-dimensional collage of architecture of the New 42nd Street Studios building is discussed. Exposed structural steel and an elaborate armature of programmable theatrical lights were combined to give a liquid look of the architecture. The building is innovatively accomplished with a steel screen facade that reflects a computerized system of colorful uplights, making the entire building a giant illuminated sign.
