摘要：

Taking into consideration the increasing importance of fluidization techniques in material refining and material processing, typical forms of liquid-solid-contacting are described. Applications of fluidization systems are elaborated and basic arrangements of equipment are explained. On the basis of fluidized-bed technologies and fluidized-bed plants of economic importance, a survey is given concerning research problems to be solved.
