During the production of roadbuilding materials (concrete and treated gravel), it is necessary to measure the water content of their constituent aggregates. The authors describe the application of the high-frequency capacitive method (based on the dielectric properties of wet materials) to the measurement of the water content of aggregates carried on a conveyor belt.
