摘要
The article outlines the history of ground power systems, before discussing the merits of the latest installations. Sufficient experience has now been accumulated from a number of such facilities which supply twenty or more gates to enable a clear picture of costs to be presented. Where new building is planned, airports and airlines are recommended, in view of the new aircraft ordered for the eighties and of the urgent need to conserve energy, to give serious thought to the ground power situation.
