摘要
Besides viscosity other parameters of fuels also influence their eroding capacity, such as density and surface tension, for example. But for kerosene and diesel fuel the difference of these parameters was not substantial. When comparing the damage values it appeared that damage by diesel fuel was nevertheless twice as much the damage by kerosene, though being less viscous. This means that erosion damage depends on the chemical composition of the fuel. If one divides the damage value of the tested fuel by the damage value obtained for such a standard liquid as water, one may obtain the index of relative eroding capacity of fuels and lubricating oils which values are given in a table.
