A study was made of the process of sintering corundum containing small additions of sodium and calcium oxides on the structure formation and phase composition of the ceramic obtained. It was found that small additions of sodium and calcium oxides somewhat reduce the roasting temperature and facilitate the synthesis of high-strength ceramic with a fine-grained structure.
