Dropwise condensation of vapor on solid surfaces was studied. An analytic expression for the rate of growth of liquid droplets in condensation of vapor from a vaporgas mixture on a flat surface is obtained. The contribution of the thermal resistance of condensate droplets to the diffusion of vapor to the cooling surface is also elucidated.
