Crown Packaging and Boxmaster packaging divisions of the former Crown Packaging Holdings Ltd. were acquired by Port Townsend Paper. The packaging divisions were expected to use natural kraft paper and liner board from Townsend's mill in Washington. However, the deal's two corrugated and converted kraft sack and bag plants in Richmond and Kelowna as well as its two sheet plants in Burnaby and Kelowna were allowed to keep their name identities owing to their loyalty to customers.
