摘要
The principle of a ranging system for a geostationary broadcasting satellite by utilizing the synchronizing pulses of its television signal is described and experimental results are given. The synchronizing pulses of the transmitted and received signals are extracted and the round-trip travel time of the signal is measured by means of a time-interval counter to find the range of this satellite. It is concluded that such a system can provided high-accuracy range data for orbit determination.
