摘要
An open-cycle, vapor-compression, steam heat pump system is being developed to generate process steam from low-level ( less than 500 degree F) excess industrial heat. The system will normally supply up to 150 psig steam. Excess heat sources as low as 220 degree F can be utilized. Fuel savings as high as 70 percent are possible in comparison with direct steam generation using a conventional boiler. Simple payback periods as low as one year can be achieved.
