The aim of the present paper was to use ESR to examine the localization of the unpaired electron in copper vanadate glasses of the CuO-BaO-V//2O//5 system. This problem is of considerable importance in connection with the investigation of the electrical conductivity mechanisms in semiconducting oxide glasses containing transition elements.
