The heat treatment conditions for sheets of serial alloy AB are elaborated to obtain a regulated grain size (20-40 μm) and high values of formability. The AB alloys of Al-Mg-Si system with adequate level of strength and plasticity are promising material for car-making. The tests showed that the sheets after heat treatment have isotropic properties and their technological characteristics are comparable with the sheets of 6016, AMg2 and AMg4 alloys. Hardening AB alloy due to aging in the process of paint and varnish coating drying provides the properties at the level of steel sheet.
