Prediction for the stress-strain curve of steel fiber reinforced concrete

The ductile failure of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) under compression, comparing with plain concrete shows improvement of flexibility in the failure of concrete structures. Applying steel fibers to the reinforced concrete structures, the whole stress-strain behavior of SFRC under compression is needed. Analyzing the results of this study and others were led to establish empirical equations to predict the stress-strain diagram of SFRC. The whole stress-strain diagram of SFRC is easily obtained on the base of the prediction equations only if maximum compressive strength is given.
