An analysis of programs of control of power units of nuclear heat and power plants is presented. These plants have to operate in accordance with variable heat and electric power generating schedules, i. e. their main heat load goes to industrial enterprises with double shift operation or hothouse combines. Based on a thermodynamic analysis of steam turbine unit cycles, the expediency of operation of nuclear heat supply installations in accordance with a program of sliding live steam pressure is demonstrated.
