摘要
A new experimental technique for x-ray diffraction study of molten metals, by means of which molten samples can be examined, at temperatures above 1700 degree C, is described. To test this technique structural information has been obtained for molten copper at 1150 and 1500 degree C for comparison with data reported in the literature. The structure factor and the atomic radial distribution function for molten platinum at 1800 degree C and for molten chromium at 1900 degree C have also been determined. Refs.
