Baseload LNG receiving terminals are differing from LNG peakshaving plants primarily because the LNG flows in the terminal greatly exceed the flow through the latter and reach liquid unloading flowrates of about 50,000 gpm. Paper presents a simplified flowsheet for an LNG receiving terminal and discusses its typical design parameters with emphasis on unloading and vapor handling systems.
