A new high-temperature, high-pressure die casting method, referred to as the ″Ferro-Di″ method, is described. The applicability of the method has been recently extended so that it can be used not only for pressure die casting of ferrous metals, such as unalloyed and alloyed stainless steels, but also for cobalt- and nickel-based alloys. Several examples illustrating the applicability of the method are presented.
