Specific features of formation of the structure of cast iron with platelet graphite in the zone of heating to subsolidus temperatures are investigated. The degree of influence of structural transformations on mechanical properties of the metal of the thermal effect zone is determined. A region of optimal thermal cycles of welding of gray pearlitic cast iron by different kind of metals is selected.
