Sliding wear behavior of plasma sprayed Ni-Cr-B-Si coating at high temperature

摘要
The plasma sprayed Ni-Cr-B-Si coating was tested at high temperature. The results show that the main wear mechanism of the coating is plastic deformation at below 550 °C, while it is strengthening the phase spalling and adhesive wear instead at higher temperature. Compared with 5CrNiMo steel, the coating has a very small wear rate at the same test temperature due to the difference in wear mechanism.
