摘要
The determination of acid-base equilibrium constant (K) of organic molecules and biomolecules with 3rd-order nonlinear optics was presented. The measurements were performed in a metalloporphyrin derivative, which is a biomolecule as well as in a pH-indicator, methyl orange. It was shown that wither the nonlinear refraction or the nonlinear absorption process can be exploited to determine pK.
