SAMPLING AND TESTING OF CEMENTS.

This is the second article dealing with the testing of cements for assessment of compliance with specification requirements. In the first article reference was made to the differences that exist between national standards, both in respect of the requirements and the methods of test. In this second article reference is made to the requirements of the British and American standards in respect of sampling, the method of taking the samples and the effect this can have on certain parameters. Some of the differences in test methods have been expanded over those given in the first article. A method of test for the determination of the properties of clinkers is discussed.
