As digital electrical-measurement instruments (DMMs, DVMs, picoammeters and electrometers) have increased in sensitivity and precision, formerly uncommon error sources have become significant. Making the most of these highly sensitive instruments requires understanding some very subtle error mechanisms and how to avoid them.
