On the surface of crystallites of high-silica zeolites, incompletely crystallized low-symmetry silicate fragments formed in the course of synthesis of zeolites were observed. During modifying treatments, their structure undergoes changes. The contribution of such incompletely crystallized fragments to the physicochemical properties of zeolites is very important.
