An Australian remote sensing instrument developed for use in Antarctica could hold the key to the real origins of global warming. The high-power Doppler lidar telescope will be installed at Australia's Davis station in Antarctica to help unravel whether it is human activity or natural processes that are having the most significant influence on climate at the Earth's surface.
