Data Collection and Processing at a High-Voltage Substation from the Point of View of Management.

The concept of high-voltage substations is reviewed, in particular from the aspect of their low-voltage protection equipment, control and maintenance equipment. It is proposed to equip substations with modern data processing hardware so as to improve their operation, rationalize their equipment and reduce their costs. In particular, the use of minicomputers for this purpose is discussed. Also, general layout schemes of the low-tension control equipment at stations are considered.
