摘要：
Ozone is one of the most powerful oxidizing agents. It is benign to the envirionment because when ozone is caused to react with other substances nothing but molecular oxygen is evolved apart from the oxidation products. This is a considerable advantage in comparison with other industrial oxidizing agents. The paper presents an outline of the use and production of ozone.
