A considerable length of secondary roads are structurally no longer adapted to modern traffic. The ever increasing cost of traditional methods of repair and reinforcement has led to the development of the 'RENOROUTE' method the principle of which consists in the reconstruction of the road using the totality of the high quality materials of the existing roadway which is modified and enriched with bituminous or cement binding materials. The reconstruction is carried out by a 'train' of two machines which advance on a width of 2. 80 m. The saving relative to traditional methods is of the order of 20 to 35%.
