摘要：

The main Turkish energy sources are coal and hydropower. Hard coal deposits are situated in the north-east, in the Zonguldak and Kastamonu region where in 1983 around 3. 5 million tons were produced. The lignite reserves are much bigger and may attain 8 billion tons. Lignite is used as powerplant feed, for ammonium production, household purposes and as boiler fuel.
