摘要：

Atomic geometry, structural relaxation and crystallization are experimentally investigated with Moessbauer spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. a-FeZr alloys are represented by a dense random packing of spheres, whereas structures of a-FeB alloys are governed by the covalent nature of the boron atom.
