摘要：

The paper outlines the state-of-the-art of network analysis by reviewing the development of the technique since its introduction in the late 1950's. Exploratory research carried out to determine the level of application in the manufacturing sector of Trinidad & Tobago reported limited use of the technique and limited availability of commercial computer codes. Recommendations are made for narrowing the large theory/practice gap and extending the use of network analysis techniques in local industry.
