摘要
Si-Mn-Cr steels with a ductile dual-phase structure are newly developed press-formable, high-strength cold-rolled steels. They are particularly used by the automobile industry to improve vehicle safety and reduce vehicle weight. This type of steel has a high tensile strength and very good elongation despite the high strength. This paper gives also an outline of the research and development of the dual-phase steel.
