An approximate thermal viscoelastic solution is derived for the traction in elastohydrodynamic contact, which describes traction curves with several non-dimensional parameters. A nonlinear Maxwell viscoelastic model is applied to the behavior of fluid film, in which viscosity is represented by the Eyring 'sinh law'. The thermal effect is assumed only on the limiting Newtonian viscosity. A convenient formula is presented which gives the maximum traction coefficient as a function of some fluid properties.
