Taking charge at Akzo Nobel

Akzo Nobel Inks announced its acquisition of three ink manufacturers held by the Werneke family. With the purchase of these companies Akzo Nobel makes a strong move into the tag and label market. Peter Mulheran is taking the reins of Akzo's Nobel Ink's North American operations. Mr. Mulheran's experience and ability will be an asset to the company. The leadership is beneficial to Akzo Nobel, considering the company's strength in the flexo market. The company introduces numerous new products in the UV segment. The recent responsibilities of Mr. Mulheran's include merging the Werneke and Akzo Nobel operations into a cohesive unit.
