An outline is given of a new lightweight gas turbine prime mover for compressor, pump and generator drive, which is based on Rolls Royce gas generators operating in conjunction with a power turbine developed by Sulzer. This paper describes development objectives, main characteristics, design details and auxiliary systems of the new Primo family.
