The purpose of this paper is to provide an updated review of both theoretical and experimental aspects of hydrogen-fueled I. C. engines. The information given here is based largely on recent literature published in various technical journals and reports and the work currently in progress on hydrogen admission systems, hydrogen engine operating ranges and performance, engine emissions, methods of hydrogen storage, and safety problems.
