A mathematical model has been previously proposed making it possible to evaluate the possible effect of adhesive strength on the effective elastic properties of a uniform material filled with rigid particles. In this investigation the authors further develop the model of deformation of dispersively filled composites with nonideal adhesive bonds while dropping the assumption that the bond between the phases along the edges of the cubes of filler is preserved. Some results obtained with this approach are discussed. They examine the case of equal lattice periods ( L-SCRIPT //x equals L-SCRIPT //y equals L-SCRIPT //z equals 2 L-SCRIPT ) and equal filler dimensions. The principal axes of the macroscopic-strain tensor will be directed along the axes of the lattice.
