摘要
The times required for burnout of volatile materials from coal particles in fluidized beds have been investigated for different particle sizes, superficial gas velocities, volatile matter contents, and masses charged. The results show that the volatile material takes about 3-12 s to burn for particle sizes from 1. 53 to 3. 06 mm and fluidizing velocities from 0. 38 to 0. 58 m/s. The radial velocity of the volatiles coming out of each particle was found to be close to U//m//f and to increase with particle size. The presence of volatiles in the coal particles increases the combustion rate of the particles of char remaining after volatiles have left.
