摘要
Studies of tertiary oil recovery make it necessary to describe the phase diagrams of mixtures of hydrocarbons, surfactants, and brine. It has been observed that certain features of those phase diagrams, such as the appearance of three-phase regions, can be correlated to ultra-low interfacial tensions. In this work, a simple thermodynamic model is described. The phase diagram obtained is qualitatively identical to that of real, more complex systems.
