Network Survivability is an important issue in ATM network. In this paper, after analyzing the procedure of fast restoration, the restoration schedule problem was highlighted. The restoration schedule strategy with priority, P-RS, was presented to solve the problem with different requirements on restoration time of various services in consideration. The simulation results show that P-RS could improve the Valid Restoration Ratio to enhance the network survivability.
