Detailed behavior of a proposed transmitting antenna system composed of over 7000 subarrays and 100,000 DC-RF power converter tubes is beyond the capability of direct analysis. Computer programs have evolved in order to assess the performance of such a system under a variable number of constraints. This paper describes the computer program structure as well as trade studies which now specify a reference concept. Typical output plots such as the far field pattern and the efficiency calculations are explained for several different transmitting antenna designs.
