Our Living Space - The Solar System.

It is shown that there are no technical limits to flights within the solar system. Descriptions are given of the special features of the various planets and their implications with regard to landing spacecraft. Particular emphasis is placed on the features of the planet Mars, and a detailed account is given of the establishment of a colony on the moon. It is noted that the experience gained in constructing ecologically closed cycles on Mars will be of value in ensuring human survival on earth in the face of diminishing resources and increasing environmental pollution.
