A new computer software system is enabling management at Crown Forest Industries' Elk Falls pulp mill to keep closer watch on stores and equipment inventory as well as look after purchasing and work order scheduling. The software system's schedule component plans and schedules each job. The application of the software package has resulted in decreased downtime and a better maintained mill with reduced cost of production.
