Up-to-date methods for obtaining proximate data about ore quality are classified. On the basis of factual data supplied by geological and survey services and the technical control departments of ore-dressing combines, as well as an analysis of numerous published sources an evaluation is made from the point of view of the technology of the means for quality control of iron ores. The proposed classification and technological evaluation of the means of control can be utilized by research and development institutes as well as by quality control services.
