摘要：

This report describes and illustrates the production control system for manufacturing steel plates at the Kashima steelworks. A feature of the system is a hierarchical structure with a high responsibility and consistency, in which various computers are connected organically with each other. The other feature is automated machinery which is newly developed and incorporated in the system.
